At First Aid Nepal Pvt. Ltd. we have established a Nepal’s First Fire Extinguisher Refilling Service Station. We have our state of the art and a German Made Fire Extinguisher Dry Powder Suction Machine. The Fire Extinguisher Powder Filling Machine Can Empty & refill the fire extinguisher in clean & healthy environment.

Refilling a Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher with micro particles in daily basis is dangerous for health. So, we have brought a latest Powder Suction Machine with RED Head Filtration System. The Powder Filling Machine is designed & made in Germany. In our machine the powder is filtered & filled inside the fire extinguisher in efficient way. The entire process is done wearing with high quality PPE Equipment’s & Dust Safety Mask.

STEP1: Fire Extinguisher Emptying Procedure:

Washing: After receiving the Fire Extinguisher, we refill the extinguisher outer body with a chemical solution which puts out the dust, grease & black oils of kitchen from the extinguisher Cylinder, Valve & Hose Pipe.

Emptying: After washing the fire extinguisher, we start the process of emptying the fire extinguisher if it’s in pressurized condition by connecting the hose of the fire extinguisher to our Powder Emptying Machine. If the extinguisher is used or leak we de-valve i.e. open the valve with the help of Fire Extinguisher Opening Torque Ranch.
Disposing of the Powder: After complete suction of the powder from the cylinder. We empty the machine storage tank and keep the powder in the disposable sacks & containers. The powder is then safely handed over to the Municipality Truck for further disposing process.

STEP 2- VALVE ASSEMBLY SET SERVICE PROCEDURES:

DE-VALVE & CLEANING PROCESS: After DE valving we open the Pressure Gauge of the Fire Extinguisher from the Valve & check it on precision Manometer Checking Line & Check the manometer visually. We check the manometer to the correct pressure and its correct performance required to the Fire Extinguisher Guidelines.

De-valve & Spring, Gas Non-Return Assembly & Syphon Tube: After de-valving we open each & every internal part of the valve like Gas Non-Return Assembly, Syphon Tube. We clean them with USA Made Solution & make Ready.

EXTINGUISHER CYLINDER TESTING & VERIFYING: After emptying the fire extinguisher cylinder we check the extinguisher with a high-resolution dental light and verify that there is sign of corrosion or not. If corroded we discard the extinguisher from refilling process. We also clean the extinguisher inside so the new chemical is not mixed with old ones.

STEP-3-REFILLING OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER POWDER.

Filling the New MAP (Dry Chemical Powder): After testing the extinguisher from inside & outside. The Extinguisher is now ready for filling the Fire extinguishing Chemical. At First Aid Nepal Pvt. Ltd. we fill the Certified Fire Extinguishing Chemicals which are tested and verified by world re-known manufacturers. We fill the exact amount of the chemical/powder inside the cylinder.

Step-4-Fitting of Serviced Valve Assembly in Fire Extinguisher.

Fitting of Valve: After de-valving and clean every part of the Fire Extinguisher Valve the valve assembly is fitted with a new O-ring and installed on the extinguisher.

Pressurizing: After fitting the valve, the extinguisher is then ready for filling its Propellant Commercial Grade Nitrogen Gas with the help of Auto Cut System Nitrogen Pressurizing Machine -Imported from Germany. We ensure that the exact amount of the Nitrogen is filled inside the Fire Extinguisher.

Step-5-Leakage Detection & Verification by Quality Department.

Leak Detection: Right after the fire extinguisher Cleaning, Filling of MAP Powder & Nitrogen Filling we check the Fire Extinguisher by dipping technology. Where we examine the Fire Extinguisher with Visual Inspection for 30 Minutes. The extinguisher is now passed for New Expiry Date Labelling.

Step-6-Inserting Refilling Date-Next Refill Date & Service Inspection Tag.

Step-6-Labelling & Inspection Tag: After the extinguisher passed the leakage test, we put a Refilling Date & Next Inspection Tag on the Fire Extinguisher and make them ready for the dispatch.

When should we refill the ABC Type Fire Extinguisher in Nepal?

We should refill the ISI :15683 Marked fire extinguishers in every 1 years. How ever the Indian Market has very low-quality fire extinguisher manufacturers. So, we must be careful about the valid certifications & quality of Fire Extinguisher, Cylinder Body, Valve, Hose Pipe, Pressure Guage & Most Importantly the Quality of Powder. We recommend the basic fire extinguisher to be refilled in 1 Year Cycle.

And Certified Fire Extinguisher from International Authority like LPCB Certified, UKCA, UKAS, Kitemark, BSI, BSEN3, MED, ISO 14001-2015, UL, FM. Certified Fire Extinguishers have expiry date of 5 Years.
